Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Terms of Service and describes the rules for using the Services responsibly.
WebMoment helps customers capture screenshots, create Replay archives, run Trackings, collaborate in Workspaces, use APIs, create Shared Links, and export Customer Data. This Policy exists to protect customers, third parties, and the integrity of the Services from unlawful, abusive, or deceptive use.
You may not use the Services to harm others, violate applicable law, bypass restrictions, misappropriate content, compromise security, or interfere with websites, networks, or the Services.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account, Workspaces, invited members, API Keys, connected integrations, and any systems you authorize to access the Services.
2. Illegal Activity
You may not use WebMoment for illegal activity, including:
fraud;
violations of applicable sanctions;
distribution of illegal content;
unlawful surveillance;
unauthorized monitoring;
unlawful data collection;
privacy violations;
intellectual property infringement.
3. Phishing and Credential Theft
You may not use WebMoment to capture, host, archive, test, distribute, or facilitate phishing pages or credential theft.
Examples include:
capturing fake login pages for deceptive use;
creating Replay archives of credential-harvesting flows;
using screenshots or Shared Links to impersonate a third-party service;
distributing Exports that help collect passwords, tokens, or security codes.
4. Malware and Harmful Content
You may not use WebMoment to create, capture, host, test, distribute, or facilitate malware or harmful code.
Examples include:
capturing or sharing Pages that deliver malware for abusive purposes;
storing Replay archives of exploit kits or ransomware flows;
using Exports, Shared Links, or APIs to distribute malicious scripts;
using WebMoment to support malware distribution, command-and-control infrastructure, or other harmful operations.
5. Spam and Abuse
You may not use WebMoment for spam or abusive messaging.
Examples include:
using Shared Links in unsolicited or abusive campaigns;
generating screenshots, Moments, or Exports for spam campaigns;
using APIs or integrations to support spam infrastructure;
sending repeated unwanted notifications or invitations;
creating misleading screenshots, Replay archives, Shared Links, or Exports intended to generate unwanted traffic or engagement.
6. Abusive Automation
You may not use WebMoment in a way that disrupts websites, networks, or the Services.
Examples include:
using Trackings or API requests as a stress-testing tool;
configuring excessive capture frequency that overloads a website or the Services;
triggering denial-of-service activity;
bypassing rate limits, quotas, or capture controls;
evading abuse detection, job limits, or operational safeguards.
7. Scraping Without Authorization
You may not use WebMoment for unauthorized or unlawful scraping, Tracking, or archiving. You may Capture and archive websites that you own, operate, or are otherwise authorized to access, and use Tracking to extend the Timelines of those Pages.
Examples include:
creating Trackings for private dashboards you are not authorized to access;
capturing paywalled content without permission;
using API automation to collect restricted data at scale from websites that prohibit it;
archiving user profiles, private communities, or account areas in violation of platform rules;
using Replay archives or Exports to extract content that you are not permitted to access or reuse.
8. Privacy Violations
You may not use WebMoment to capture, store, share, or export personal data unlawfully.
Customers are responsible for:
establishing a lawful basis;
providing privacy notices where required;
obtaining consent where required;
limiting captures to appropriate data;
configuring Workspace access, API Keys, Shared Links, Exports, and retention settings;
responding to data subject requests where they control the relevant Customer Data.
9. Intellectual Property Violations
You may not use WebMoment to infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other rights.
Customers are responsible for obtaining any permissions required before capturing, archiving, exporting, sharing, or distributing third-party content using screenshots, Replay archives, Shared Links, Exports, APIs, or Custom Domains.
Examples include:
capturing protected content for redistribution;
archiving copyrighted pages without permission;
exporting or sharing Replay archives that violate third-party rights;
using Custom Domains, screenshots, or Shared Links to impersonate another brand.
10. Security Interference
You may not:
probe or scan systems without authorization;
bypass authentication;
evade access controls;
attempt to access another Workspace;
exploit vulnerabilities in the Services or third-party systems;
interfere with WebMoment infrastructure or capture systems;
disclose, publish, sell, or misuse API Keys;
use Custom Domains to compromise security or route traffic deceptively.
11. Misrepresentation
You may not use WebMoment to deceive users or misrepresent identity, source, ownership, authorization, or affiliation.
This includes using screenshots, Replay archives, Exports, Shared Links, or Custom Domains to falsely imply endorsement, certification, partnership, control of a website, or approval by a third party. Legitimate business use, such as using Tracking for your own Pages or sharing authorized Captures, is not prohibited.
12. Enforcement
WebMoment may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action to protect customers, third parties, and the Services. Actions may include:
limiting capture jobs or API requests;
disabling Shared Links, Exports, or Custom Domains;
revoking or rotating API Keys;
pausing or suspending Trackings;
removing or restricting access to content;
suspending or terminating Workspaces;
notifying affected customers, service providers, or authorities where appropriate or required by law.

Please include relevant URLs, Shared Links, the affected Workspace (if known), and a brief description of the issue.
